Carlingford Automotive Mechanical Repairs growing their family business in Parramatta.

Ian and Sevan purchased Carlingford Automotive Mechanical Repairs in February 2018. Having worked as a mechanic for over 25 years, including owning a petrol station, the couple decided to create their family business together in Carlingford.

Ian said ‘When we were looking to set up a new business, I wanted to stay in the area because of the opportunity and growth in Parramatta. When we received news about the Realise Business Support we jumped on the opportunity and it’s the best business decision I have made all year.  Sara, our Business Advisor, has opened my eyes to the opportunities and how to grow my business sustainably and systematically – it’s been a real mindset shift for me.’

Sara Berry, one of the Realise Business Advisors has been working with Ian and Sevan on understanding their ideal client in order to develop both a logo and website, which will launch next year, following a refurbishment of the workshop.

Sevan said ‘we were about to hire someone to do our website, but we were not looking forward to the process. Sara has been managing everything with us including determining the best website user experience for our target market, collecting quotes, writing the website copy and organising the design of our logo –  she has educated us on how to be found online and the importance of Google Juice!’

Ian and Sevan are now working with Sara on their Christmas campaign, a free light vehicle comprehensive safety check to get your car ready for the summer holiday period.
